Best Stroller for Twins – My Top 5 Picks and the Three I Personally Use

As a twin parent, finding the best stroller for twins that caters to our needs can be a challenging task. In this quick guide, we will explore some of the best strollers for twins, including my personal favorites, the Wonderfold W2 Luxe Elite Stroller Wagon, and the compact Baby Jogger City Select LUX Double Stroller. Additionally, I will highlight some honorable mentions that offer great value to twin parents.

I think every twin parent needs a wagon stroller, a double folding stroller that can handle bassinets or car seat attachments, and a cheap double umbrella stroller for traveling or running quick errands.

For twin parents who love outdoor adventures and need a versatile stroller that can handle different terrains, the Wonderfold W2 Luxe Elite Stroller Wagon is an excellent choice. If you only have your twins, the W2 is going to be big enough for your needs and fold up into a “smaller” footprint in your car.

If you already have small children or are interested in expanding your family after your twins, definitely consider the Wonderfold W4. It can accommodate up to four children.

What sets the Wonderfold W2 Luxe Elite Stroller Wagon apart is its ability to transform into a bench seat, providing a convenient resting spot for tired toddlers during extended outings (remove the seats, and unzip the end for toddlers to crawl in and out).

The seats recline, and the shade canopy is rounded, compared to some competitors with a squared off top. I like that the canopy extends downward and can be manipulated to block the sun from any angle.

Wonderfold recently released a canopy that can completely enclose the entire wagon and is water repellant. It has mosquito netting so if you want to let air pass through, without the bugs, you can easily do so!

My favorite part about this wagon is that my girls (now toddlers) love going for rides. There is something more “fun” and appealing to them about a wagon ride vs. asking them to get into a stroller. So for me, it’s a win-win.

The more excited they are to get in and go places, the happier mom and dad are! I would absolutely recommend purchasing the additional accessories, including the mesh side netting for added storage, the snack tray, and a universal parent console for holding your own drinks and snacks.

2. Baby Jogger City Select LUX Double Stroller: The Compact and Lightweight Option

While the Wonderfold Wagon offers exceptional versatility, I still see the benefits of having a more compact and lighter weight double stroller. The Baby Jogger City Select LUX Double Stroller fits the bill perfectly in this regard.

With its compact fold and lightweight design, it becomes a go-to choice for twin moms recovering from childbirth–especially c-sections. We’re not allowed to lift anything heavy, and if you have to take the twins to the pediatrician alone, trust me when I tell you this – you do NOT want your wagon stroller.

The Baby Jogger City Select LUX Double Stroller can accommodate two newborns and, with the option to attach infant car seats, it simplifies visits to the pediatrician or running errands with your babies. Its easy maneuverability and smooth handling allow you to navigate busy streets and crowded spaces with ease. It fits easily through any standard doorway and turns on a dime.

This was my favorite double stroller when my twins were born. If I had to do it all over again now, I might seriously consider the next option in my first place Honorable Mention double stroller spot – the Joovy Qool Double Bundle Stroller. It has everything my Baby Jogger has and more, for the same price. And I do love Joovy. We use their high chairs and I swear by them. But, because I personally used a Baby Jogger and loved it, I will still absolutely recommend it.

3. Joovy Qool Double Bundle Stroller

This budget-friendly stroller offers great value for parents of twins. It comes with a large storage basket and fits through most standard doorways, making it a practical choice for everyday use.

I am almost inclined to put this above my Baby Jogger, because it comes with a magnetic harness and my Baby Jogger did not (you’ll love anything with a magnetic harness, trust me!) It also allows you to attach two bassinets, or two car seats for the infant stage, and a bench seat option for a toddler or an older child.

The stroller comes with almost all of the extras included, unlike Baby Jogger, where you have to buy them separately. For this reason, I’m almost inclined to vote for the Joovy over my beloved Baby Jogger.

4. UPPAbaby Vista V2 Stroller

This versatile stroller offers multiple seating configurations and can be expanded to accommodate up to three children, making it an excellent option for growing families. It comes with a seat and a bassinet, but you still need to purchase the additional seat and all of the extras.

Since the quality of this stroller is overall the same as Baby Jogger, I cannot recommend it as my first choice simply based on the price. But – if you are a brand loyalist, perhaps the UPPAbaby is for you.

The Best Double Umbrella Stroller for Twins under $100

We use this stroller on all of our quick errands to the store, or for traveling where we wouldn’t want our more expensive wagon and Baby Jogger to get damaged.

5. Delta Children LX 35 Pound Side by Side Double Convenience Stroller

This stroller is specifically in our twin baby gear arsenal for traveling or running quick errands. It folds up easily, is extremely lightweight, and does not take up any room at all in the trunk of my mid-size car.

To be honest, this stroller became my go-to for the pediatrician’s office over my Baby Jogger, just because of how much easier it was to whip out of the trunk and pop open.

This stroller is perfect for air travel too. You can use it to help you navigate inside the airport and it can easily be folded up at the gate to stow away into a travel bag. I always felt better knowing that if my umbrella stroller got damaged in flight, that at least it was only my $90 double umbrella stroller vs. my expensive Baby Jogger or Wagon.

a. Theme Parks: Strollers can be a lifesaver in theme parks, providing a comfortable spot for your little ones to rest while you explore the attractions. Unfortunately, the Wonderfold Wagon is still not Disney-approved as of this article update on January 4, 2024. I hope they will change this rule soon. Stay tuned!

b. National Parks: For nature-loving families, a stroller that can handle rough terrain will allow you to explore beautiful trails with your twins – definitely recommend the Wonderfold Wagon here!
